Where
B&B Dujardin is located in the southwest of Brussels, about ten kilometres from the centre of the city. The B&B is in Pajottenland, a region famous for its authentic beauty and very agreeable environment. The rolling countryside inspired Pieter Bruegel the Elder (ca. 1525/28 – 1569). The Gueuze beer produced there is world famous and various amazing monuments, museums, parks and other rural gems are to be found in the region.
What
B&B Dujardin is situated on the first floor of a timber-frame house, newly built with respect for nature. There are two double guestrooms. Both rooms contain two box spring beds and have their own bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. There is also a communal area that overlooks the surrounding area. In the morning this is where you enjoy your breakfast freshly made with care using local products. If the weather is nice you can also have breakfast on the roof terrace.
Who
After a career in the social sector I dreamed of starting a guesthouse. I love the region and am excited to offer my guests the chance to discover wonderful Pajottenland. After a busy working day or an excursion you can relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside here. Both business people and tourists are welcome.
Tourism
When it comes to tourism you really are spoiled for choice here. The B&B’s location is an ideal one from which to set out on day trips, not just in Pajottenland but also in Brussels.
- Ter Pede nature reserve, managed by Natuurpunt, is an example of how tailored nature management can restore nature to its former glory.
- The Bruegel Trail with the Open-Air Museum, along which 12 works by Bruegel are explained, offers you an amazing view of the countryside and culture in the region.
- The Watermill at Sint-Gertrudis-Pede is still in use. Grain is milled and bread is baked there on a regular basis.
- Huisje Mostinckx looks back at the past. You walk through rooms that are as they were when inhabited in the 18th and 19th century.
- Various breweries: Girardin, Boon, De Troch, Lindemans and Timmermans are known far and wide. Some have received international awards.
- Gaasbeek Castle is the most romantic castle in the whole of Flanders and you are very welcome there. Not just the building and furnishings appeal to the imagination, the park and lakes are also worth a visit.
- Those who love music can visit the De Cam Folk Instrument Museum in Gooik. A festival for fans of folk music and dance is held there every year at the beginning of July.
- Halle Forest, 15 km from the B&B, is a wonderful 552 ha nature reserve in which to walk. In April large numbers of tourists flock to the forest to see the beautiful blue carpet formed by bluebells on the forest floor.

A fridge containing, among others, water, fruit juice, local beers, wine… is at your disposal and you have the use of a coffee machine and a kettle. Parking is available and there is also wifi access.

Cancellation conditions
- In case of cancellation more than 14 days before the start of the stay:
an administration fee of € 25. - In case of cancellation between 14 and 3 days before the start of the stay:
50% of the total cost of the stay. - In case of cancellation less than 3 days before the start of the stay:
100% of the total cost of the stay.
A cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail.
